Vicky Ridgeway

Vicky Ridgeway

Vicky has been living here in Ireland for the past 30 years. Originally from the UK, she did her training in Bristol Royal Infirmary and has extensive experience in caring for the elderly in many different environments.

She was inspired by the Dementia Care Matters programme when she came to work in Fairfield originally in 2014, as it reflected her own heartfelt views about the way people should be cared for in any care setting.

She has gone on to become a trainer and inspirer to others, in this way of caring for all people as individuals.

Vicky worked in our sister home in Clonakilty for the past 4 years as the person-centred care coordinator for the Home, before taking on the role as Director of Nursing here in October 2020.

She aspires to enhance the excellent care given here and to continue to promote the dementia care model that makes Fairfield an inspiration to others.
